KACEY JONES: Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jones moved to Nashville on the wings of a hit she co-wrote for Mickey Gilley called, "I'm The One Mama Warned You About." Arriving in Music City, she formed the hip, cult-trio, "Ethel and The Shameless Hussies" who were almost immediately signed to MCA Records. They appeared on Entertainment Tonight and were lauded by the likes of People Magazine and USA Today. In 1997, Miss Jones recorded a live comedy-and-music CD for Curb Records called, "Men Are Some of My Favorite People." Along the way she also produced a #1 album for legendary Texas author and songwriter, Kinky Friedman. Her original songs can be heard in the hit cult film "Sordid Lives" starring Beau Bridges, Olivia Newton-John, and Leslie Jordan (directed by Del Shores). Kacey songs have been recorded by David Allan Coe, Cledus T. Judd, and Ethel and The Shameless Hussies. She has recorded nine albums to date, including the critically acclaimed, "Kacey Jones Sings Mickey Newbury."
Hit-making singer/songwriters Kacey Jones, Richard Fagan (RIP) and Joe Collins, formed the band PHILLYBILLY. They've been writing and harmonizing together since 1995.
On January 30, 2014, Kacey was diagnosed with stage-3 colorectal cancer.
