They're all gone now. All the comics from vaudeville that wrote & performed in the shows that we, the ancients (to you, anyway) watched in our youth. The loss of Don Rickles at 90 just continues the process. Last year was a bloodbath. Did you think it would stop when 2016 ended? Not freaking likely.

Unlike the insult comics of today - of which there are far too many - Rickles would always let the victim up & say 'only kidding'. That doesn't happen in these evil times, I can tell you.

As someone over 70, I can tell you that there's no cure for death and it will continue on its merry way until we're all in Hell (or wherever). Deal with it, as I do.

Don Rickles was actually, by all accounts, a very good guy. We'll miss him, for we won't see his like again, ghod help us all.
