Both Dave & I send him emails & message him on Facebook on a regular basis about all this. There's been no response as of yet.

Seeing how you completed this show, you might check up on Wayne to see if gonna work on the merge problem since it has been a month, after you work on the new podcast.

Here it is - www.madmusic.com/playlist.aspx?Show=MMS-230

This show clocks in at 2:43:04. I'm tempted to re-enter it as a "Mad Music Special" as it's closer to 3 hours than just 2. I'll mull it over and decide later while I'm working on this new podcast...

Script complete. It seems that Krampus returns in the final segment (his job is done for the year, so he has free time now, apparently) to generally raise hell, but I play something that grosses him out and - well, there goes another carpet. I thought what the vampires do to it at Halloween was bad.

That's right. I play something so disgusting that even Krampus himself, the ethereal monster who devours children's internal organs, can't keep his lunch down. It's a favorite of mine that I play nearly every year and one of the only rap songs I ever play on the show. It goes without saying that you should keep the kids or your co-workers far, far away from this show. You've been warned.

That's how insane this final segment is.

All the crap my army of doctors prescribe me (don't laugh - you'll be old someday) won't allow me to coherently focus on making the recording...at all. It'll be have to be done the moment it's possible to be done. If you're wondering, yes, this is why these shows take me so long to make.

If the meds and my crappy microphone will cooperate for an hour or 2, I'll be able to record this show tomorrow. If they don't cooperate, then sometime this weekend. Tyro has a new podcast for you and I want to get to assembling that soon.

This final segment will likely run well over 45 minutes - counting the bonus tracks. I often wonder if anyone waits through the 15+ seconds of dead air at the show's end in order to hear the bonus track(s). This may just end up being its own Mad Music Hour...then things will get complicated.

But when it done, I hope all of you will have laughed until you've fouled your carpets with vomit as well. It's a sure sign of show success.

Ok, time's up.

The holidays are over and it's now time that the old man got around to recording this completed segment that he said had to be posted after New year's Day to drive home that very notion - the Holidays are over. Uncle says, "Some idiots just don't get it and they leave the plastic Santas & reindeer in their yards until spring. Lazy jackoffs."

I have a new podcast for you, but he can't assemble it for me until this show's posted. And what's he doing, huh? "Paying bills, getting gas for the car and buying Food!"

Uncle's just too damn practical sometimes.

Bugger all. That took long enough, didn't it? I've finally sorted out how the final segment of this year's so-called epic Xmas extravaganza is going to end. The scenario is set, the playlist is made. All I have to do is type out a snarky enough script to fit the segment. And that's NOT happening on New Year's Eve.

Why did it take this long? Because I hadn't paid up my P.O. box for next year, gone to the bank or done any food shopping for more than 2 months. That's freaking why.

This is more of an "post-holiday" segment, specifically made for after the holiday season to contrast the rest of the show - but not long after. So prepare for -

Seg. IV: Christmas is Over/A Year With No Resolution

At present, MMS-230 clocks in at 1:49:43.

Uncle Stavro says, "A Mad Music Show (as opposed to the other types) runs for 2 hours, give or take a few minutes." Technically, this show is complete. If he wanted to follow his own rule to the letter, he could tack on a couple of "To Hell With Xmas" themed songs to the bonus tracks - as advertised at the end of seg. 3 - and make the 2 hour requirement.

There's no rule stating how many segments have to be in a Mad Music show. It need only be 2 hours.

But that's not how the sequence of Xmas shows end. They traditionally end with a "Xmas is over" segment...which already exists. It was cut from last year's final show that couldn't be completed. Oh, yes. I recall you complaining about that as well.

He took the day off yesterday - because it was Christmas. He can't actually decide how to end the show. Record the "To Hell With Xmas" segment, record the "Xmas is over" segment or make both in a full Mad Music Special (more than 2 hours - usually 3+).

one or all of them will be made - when he damn well feels like it. To old people like him and my dad, there are still 12 days of Xmas, beginning yesterday and ending on "Twelfth Night", the end of Jan. 5.

That's when it will happen...and you'll never see it coming. That's traditional. too.

Stavro, Christmas day is getting closer to an end, are you going to make the final segment of this show, or finish it next year.

Stavro Arrgolus:

Here are the first 3 segments -  www.madmusic.com/playlist.aspx?Show=MMS-230

Quick note - all
3 of the segments after the first have themes that have become a tradition for
me to make for these holiday shows. "Santa has sex with everyone/goes
insane", "Whimsical Xmas" - an excuse to...well, not be vulgar, and finally, "Screw Xmas" - fun tunes that reject the holiday altogether.

Since there won't be time for another Xmas show (Dave & I did get 4 shows in), I'm doing all these sub-themes in this episode.

This show will be a real scream. Bonus points if you actually scream while listening.

No
attempt to fill the show with new songs will be made. This set of shows
is an exercise in presentation and song arrangement.

The technology's barely conceivable.

A guy who's been dead for nearly 30 years can sit in a castle in central Germany and make part of an internet show for an old guy in New England who has no will or motivation to make a clean part of said internet show.

Ok, enough of that. Uncle Stavro is scripting the final segment of this show and to help ensure the remainder of this episode is posted on time, I'll make segment 3. Expect it in a day or 2.

It's Uncle's traditional 'whimsical' segment where he plays (clean) Xmas tunes that are more 'mildly amusing' than 'funny ha ha'. It's really just his excuse to play excessively strange, old fashioned or (dare I say it?) ...borderline mainstream Xmas music.

As advertised, the segment will be the only clean one in the show and it'll have a more laid back atmosphere to it. If you're into that sort of thing.

Show playlist complete. I'm working on the segment 1 script now...

As the title suggests, at least one segment will feature our pal Krampus. No, not in a song - an actual visit. Perhaps more than once. It's basically a gimmick for the upcoming show

How do I know him? I don't, but my vampire relatives do. It seems you meet more people when you're (un)dead than when alive. Go figure.

Annnnyway, Krampus has a 'special Christmas message' for you and he may turn up at various times in the show. Or not. Maybe...possibly....

Did I forget to mention that I'm going to valiantly attempt to finish the script for this and get segment 1 out this weekend and the rest next week. Afterwards, show 3 will be...who am I kidding? It should be said at this point that I fully expect to fail miserably at this. If so, this show will become the final Xmas show of the year and will be made into a Mad Music Special with 6 segments instead of 4 (3+ hours). I will NOT impose on Dave again during the holidays. He's done his share and considerably more. If only everyone had this policy...

Seg. 1: Krampus - He Loves The World Except For All The People

Seg. 2: Santa Claus: Deranged, Perverted Bastard

Seg. 3: And Now, The Annual "Whimsical Xmas" Segment

Seg. 4: To Hell With Christmas (2018 version)

Jam it, smartass. I've just woken up from making a new show & posting it around 5:45 am and I'm in no mood for adolescent trolling from the kiddies - and if you're actually an adult...wow, that's kind of sad.

Or perhaps you think I'm the only one who thinks this way. No one was more surprised than me when I actually got mailed complaints about your foolishness from a few of our people who've chosen to remain.

Like me, they remember when this was a friendly site with jovial banter between our participants instead of bitching & trolling about every little detail. I'm in the mood to make it that way again. Or did you forget I can also moderate this site as well as edit it?

Need proof? If they spoke any English, you could ask some of these spammers what I do to those who disrupt the peace around here and/or send our members emails full of malware - www.madmusic.com/thread.aspx?TopicID=5526

Wayne once told me that before I take such action (against English speakers), one warning needs to be given. Consider this it.

Now, as for the lost show, in order to make it, I have to cross-reference its playlist over & over with that year's other 3 shows to ensure that songs don't get repeated. A far bigger job than making an ordinary new show. A job I've no time for this year. I already remade one "lost" show at Halloween, MMS-157. I can get the other one when I do have time again. And that's not now.

Now, perhaps I can go back to scripting show 230. I could decide to go crazy and make it squeaky clean. Wonder if there's really any demand for that...

I guess the missing Christmas show, will have to been done next year, huh, Stavro?

Stavro Arrgolus:

Yes, I know. The
title's ok, but I can do better. I've just completed the Hanukkah show
and I'm adding this thread before I forget to.

In a few days, I'll continue with this show's playlist. I have bills to pay and groceries to buy, so the early week is full up.

For all you prudes out there, this show, like the Hanukkah show, will be somewhat less profane than MMS-228, but then anything
would be. It's practically become traditional for my first Halloween
& Xmas shows for a year to be completely batsh*t insane. It's
getting to the point that I even look forward to it.

This
isn't to say this episode will be clean - Cthulhu forbid! What fun would
that be? But some self-control will be imposed. Probably.
