I was thinking of precisely that when I typed "damn near all". The ones that aren't dementia are the self promotional ones you hear at stadiums to pump up the crowd. Those are borderline at best.

But a song about the Chiefs from an external perspective would be dementia. The funny usually comes from outside the fandom, not inside it. That's why I haven't played that whole Dr. Who "Visitations" album yet.

Tech n9ne has done some KC Chiefs songs/raps.

Him and other artist, Most of their songs are more less team pride the "we're the best" or "kick your butt" and "color pride"

They can be, yes.

Ex: The Super Bowl Shuffle = dementia. John Fogerty's "Centerfield" = not quite as much. He was being serious about baseball.

On the very same album (Centerfield, Warner Bros., 1985), he had a song about a pig that could pickpocket you. That's insane. But the song wasn't really about a pig, it was about his manager. So, not dementia.

It's all about intent. That said, damn near all songs about sports teams are dementia.

Do songs about sports or sports team fall under dementia?
