I have been best friends with April Jones (now Budde) for around 25 years. One day April, her Mom (LeAnn) and her Stepfather (Dick) were lamenting that Christmas had gotten so commercial. Then they began doing parodies of some Christmas songs. They later decided to record them. I have been trying to get April to get a copy of the tape transferred to cd form so I could send it to Mad Music. It was only released on cassette I believe. "Yo, Christmas Tree" (the rap version) was not even on the tape, it was recorded separately. Some songs were "Retail Sales" ("Jingle Bells"), "I Wish You a Debt-free Christmas", "Up On the Rooftop" (Santa gets stuck in the chimney), and a non-rap "Yo Christmas Tree". I was so excited to hear "Yo, Christmas Tree" played on the show.
