Pop Machine was formed in Los Angeles in 1989.
The mission: to produce sometime satirical, sometime straight-ahead pop-rock. Is Pop Machine's music smart, or just smart ass? That's up to the listener to decide.
The group produced several self-released tapes and CDs, and an anthology CD available on CDBaby.com. They appeared on the Dr. Demento show at least three times, as well as performing concerts in the Los Angeles area. They also released a few vinyl singles (remember those?) on the Go Pop!! label in 2003.
Film fans can hear their music in the Roger Corman production "The Skateboard Kid," as well as several major network television productions.
