The Mad Music Moment #233 - July 5, 2019
Topic: 4th of July 2019 - And The Country Still Exists (For Now) Yay!
This show is Explcicit

Greetings all. Consul Pious Augustus Arrgolus here. Since Stavro is still recovering from his latest medical mishap, I’ve been asked to guest host a quick half hour of all American 4th of July dementia – only it's not so quick. It clocks in at 40 minutes. This is a good laugh since I’m a 3900 year old vampire sitting in the catacombs of a castle in northern Italy and know precisely squat about America – much less dementia music about it. Ha! Like that's going to stop me.

Show Facts:
There's only one actual patriotic song in this show - but it's not featured until the end of the show and even then, only for a minute+. It's "The Liberty Bell (March)", better known as the Monty Python theme. It serves as the bgm for this episode. (Stavro Arrgolus)
Obscure Reference: Near the end, the Consul says that "preamble" is one word & not two. In the song, Lynn Ahrens first pronounces the word as "pre-amble" as if it were two words. If it's not really anal to catch that, I don't know what is. (Stavro Arrgolus)
This show was written to be cynical, un-PC and generally nasty, as per the usual. And it is...until the very end when it turns patriotic for real and ceases to be the sarcastic send-up originally planned. (Stavro Arrgolus)
