We have all been taught, through the years, little phrases etc. to help us remember certain things. To wit,

Spring forward, Fall back helps us remember which way to set my clock.

Thirty days has September, April, June and November. All the rest have 31 except February with 29. Helps us to remember the number of days in each month.

Gorillas eat potato chips. Reminds us of the order of the next four Bible books after 2nd Corinthians because these are shorter books and their order can get confusing.

Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians

Every Good Boy Deserves Favor = the notes on the scale.

So, what have you been taught to help you remember?

Hmmmm...maybe I'm aging myself, but in the days before computers or word processors there was a shop class called "print shop" where we used movable type, just like the type used by newspapers. The case where the letters were kept were in a standard format. Each row had its specific saying. It was over 35 years ago, but I believe the first row went something like this: "Never Park Small Ford Cars In Large Garages" (NPSFCILG). I know it may not be correct, but maybe someone can correct me and also give the words for the next two rows.

That's true, but when you're listening to a talk and are asked to look up Philippians it's a lot quicker when you know the order.

I figured the phrase they would teach in Canada would be:

Bad
Beer
Rots
Our
Young
Guts
But
Vodka
Goes
Well

I too took electronics in high school.... Can't seem to remember if there was any cute rhyme to help us remember the colour codes though. I'm sure the part in question would not have made it past the school censors as they were in the late 70s. Teacher did hand out pocket resistance calculators though. Just turn the wheels so the colours line up and read the value in the window. Simple but effective..... I'm sure I still have it around here someplace.

Actually, I've learned that in high school electronics class. There are many other funny phrases to remember the color code by - www.netnaut.com/mnemonics/electronics.html

You didn't know that because it isn't true.

After the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), it's Acts, Romans, 1st Corinthians and 2nd Corinthians. Then it's Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians.... But the rhyme I learned for that was "General Electric Power Company".

BTW, FM123.... Who is this Violet you hold in such high regard?
