fiogf49gjkf0d One thing that I've been remiss in doing is having written policies for the site - and people to help enforce them - that will change.
Actually "enforce" too strong a word. I'd rather people were guided into doing what's best, I hate "rules" - I prefer "guidelines". But... sometimes you have to take action and I need people to do that.
So, I'll be developing a set of guidelines and a set of responsibilities for site "admins" to help the users along. This means moderators for the forums, admins for user account access/maintenance, researchers for news & events, publicists for getting the word out, and a "committee" to help with disputes, developing policies/actions, etc.
I'll get the ball rolling by starting to outline the goals, jobs and general policies - then I'll invite some people to participate on the committee and fill the positions. After that the committee will take over. But, the final vote has to come from me - I have a vision for where we are going (if only a nebulous one) and reserve the right to decline action - or speed implementation based on that vision (or nightmare - whichever you want [grin]).
This will affect very few people - this is the best bunch of nuts I've ever had the pleasure of associating with. But, from time to time, a bad nut shows up and we have to get them corralled before they mess the place up. Plus, others helping will make for better decisions - I'm not the best person to do everything and I trust the committee system... I've seen it do wonders (if you have the right people - so I reserve the right to appoint/excuse people as I see best).

fiogf49gjkf0d It's far worse than that. They make both Foster's & Guinness in Canada so they can legally call it "imported" (dirty) and they water it down anyway so you never get the taste of the real thing. I'm glad I gave it all up 4 years ago (and so is my gut). Except for holidays. And then I stick to Sam Adams. I drank that stuff when it was made only here. I read on the label they make "Boston Lager" in Breiningsville, PA!? Blasphemy.

(As a sidenote, I was disappointed to hear that Foster's is no longer popular in Australia. It is something that they export to the UK & USA and keep the better beers for themselves. :-) )
