Last night I attended the Weird Al concert at the Grand Old Opera House in Wilmington, DE. This was my first Weird Al concert, and was will worth it. I called up the box office for this venue on Tuesday this week and asked for the best ticket they had available. She offered me a ticket in the front row! I decided it was worth the big bucks for this opportunity.

Not being familiar with the seating at this venue, I found out that my seat was indeed in the very front row within 2 feet of the stage, but also next to the main speaker on stage right. My ears are recovering!

Being next to the stage I was able to see many of the smooth transitions that Weird Al's crew executed. It was very impressive. The planning must have been very extensive to pull off a show of this calliber.

I uploaded a bunch of pictures to my madspace located at: www.themadmusicarchive.com/myphotos.aspx?id=24573&aid=35

I did not use the flash on my camera because I did not want to disrupt the show, so some of the pictures came out blurry. I uploaded the pictures that came out best, but even some of them are a bit blurry. Some of the shots came out fairly decent. I showed some of my pictures to the groupies hanging out after the show who wanted to know if I woud be posting these up on the Web. I told them to check out my MadSpace at the Mad Music Archive. Hopefuly that will bring even more traffic to this site. It would have been nice to have Mad Music Archive business cards to pass out at these venues. Enjoy!

Nice photos of Weird Al. I'm surprised that they allow cameras and pictures to be taken at a venue like that. When I use to go concerts, they didn't allow cameras.

I wonder if someone can sneak in a small mp3 recorder and capture the entire show on one huge audio file? Here's what I'm talking about - www.zzounds.com/item--EDIR09 - quite expensive though.

nice pictures, Dino. just a few corrections, the Canadian Idiot picture is actually Close But No Cigar and the Close but No Cigar picture is Why Does This Always Happen to Me. The Song that uses a harmonica is Ode to a Superhero.
