Song Lyrics:
We celebrate your birthday
Even if you don't
Be glad you're getting older
'Cause when you're dead you won't!
So happy happy birthday
From everyone you know
Now we will light the candles
And birth - day - boy - you - blow!

The instructions for all this that were just added to the Help page seemingly weren't enough. They were meant for people who wish to contribute info to the pages. I'd better compose something with more detail soon.

"On a song page, the 'release date' should be the date of its first release by this artist." Meaning the date that the artist credited on the page first released it and not the date Eddie Cantor had a big hit with it in the '20s.

Even if it's a single that wasn't originally on the album pictured to its right.

What justifies a separate song page is another thing. My rule is usually "Different lyrics = separate page" There's more than enough space in the 'facts' section to describe any version differences. "I made cool fart sounds by squeezing rubber hamsters in this version". That should do.

If, however, you made it in a different time with different instrumentation and you put it in the store, then people might complain if they don't get the version with the farting hamsters on it so that's when you make another page with "(Rubber Hamster version)" in the title.

The point of all this isn't so much to be anal but rather to add simplicity and eliminate the 'jackoff factor'- someone wants 20 different pages for one song because they used different brands of kazoo in each one. That sort of thing. Clutter elimination & needless confusion elimination. "A good thing."

This song can't have a 2010 release if it was played in 2008.....changing back to 2008

either both versions count as the same song (meaning release 2008), or you make a seperate entry for the EP version, and Stavro seems to have already nixed the latter idea

Done. Only the original & the Epic Mix remains.

That's fine, go ahead and remove 'em. Not much is selling here any way.

This one is now combined with the original, but the other versions are in the store. Combining those pages means removing them.
