fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d You forgot to change the link from the homepage. It should say "Listen to this week's show: All-Request!" or something like that.
Speaking of which, now would be the time to update the show, Manic Mondays, and FFM pages. There are songs that haven't even been entered into the database yet.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d I recently got "I Went To Your Wedding" on a 2004 CD, 'A *Proper* introduction to Spike Jones and his City Slicker.
I found it through Amazon
I got it for 'Alto, Baritone and Bass' that I had not heard until recently, and of all places on wdet.org 's 'Folks Like Us Program'. They now let you stream the last show on demand. A,B&B is Spike Jones reaction to multi-tracking of voices in the recording studio.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Now we know the real reason Wayne was out for almost four weeks.
It had nothing to do with being sick or catching up on his life.
He was off looking for a copy of Spike Jones' "I Went To Your Wedding."
This morning I was listening to it on the bus on the way to work, singing and laughing along with Sir Frederick Gass.
Nobody makes eye contact with me any more and I get my own seat on the bus these days, no matter how crowded it is.
Thank you Wayne for tracking down "I Went To Your Wedding" and the piece from Homer and Jethro. It was just like being five years old again, except it sounded better.
Hmmm, come to think of it "it was just like being five years old" sums up a great deal of my life.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Welcome back Wayne!
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Basically Danny's right - I was down for 2+ weeks then had to take care of the important, though mundane, responsibilities of life.
Anyway, I'm working on the show right now and should have it posted by 9:30 P.M. Sunday.
I'll catch up on the forums after that.
Wayne
--- danny d wayne's probably catching up on that thing called "life".

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d No, but I think my new tagline and avatar will bring him back. It barely worked for Gary. Holy shrimp! He's almost off the first Friends page! -SBL

|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d I still would like to hear "What I Like About Booze." It did not make the parody show, but I am patient and can wait.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d I hope you don't have the suds. You could be reading old magazines! Wait a minute, Patrick could be your doctor. "Sorry, Wayne. I tried to cure SpongeBob but it didn't work." Be quiet, Patrick.

--- Wayne This show is going to be late too, I'm in bed sick - plan on a Tuesday, late, release.

|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Hey, Wayne, if it's not too late . . .
and if you have it . . .
and if it wouldn't contribute to making this an eight-hour show . . .
I have one more request apropos to the situation:
Alvin Crow's "Nyquil Blues"
"They say I'm a Nyquil junkie, I don't know what they mean, I just can't get to feelin' funky unless my tongue is green, So gimme a bottle of Nyquil, for that restful sleep my body needs. Analgesic decongestant, with an antihistamine."
--- HalfBee Yipee just what we need... a Nyquil induced all request show (or is that under the influence of...)
Get better soon...
If you post it... they will (can't complete reference without sending 2 cents to Field of Dreams copyright etc)...

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Hmmm... looks like we should be requesting an 8-hour show! --dang p.s. I would love to hear Rabbit Hash by Billy Golden, along with Ya Wanna Buy a Bunny? by Spike Jones, but I doubt they will make the funny fifty.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d OK, here we go. This is all stuff I like and either haven't heard in a while, stuff I like that doesn't seem to get played because other songs from the album are more popular, or someone jogged my memory and I thought it would be cool to hear again. That more or less covers the concept of "requests," I guess. Funny how I never request songs I absolutely hate.
*ahem* Anyway:
The Gates -- Da Vinci's Notebook (actually I called this one in) Aron -- Logan Whitehurst and the Junior Science Club Eat Here And Die -- Worm Quartet How Much Is That Houn' Dawg In Th' Winder -- Homer & Jethro I Went To Your Wedding -- Spike Jones and his City Slickers (yeah I already requested these for the Parodies show, sue me) Adam West -- Wally Wingert and the Caped Club Hey Rocky! -- Boris Badenough My Evil Twin -- They Might Be Giants The Punk Polka -- The Toons Ain't We Crazy -- Haywire Mac No News, Or What Killed The Dog -- Nat M. Wills Tenderly -- Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem (Muppet Show) (this by the way is the greatest band name ever) Diarrhea -- Da Yoopers The Rutabaga Boogie -- Paul Shelasky and his Musical Zombies Zombie Jamboree -- Rockapella
That should be enough to keep you busy for a while :)
