First. there's the matter of the song, "Spider-Crotch", by the Flying Jersy Fart Weasels. Yes, that is me. And it is true that I had no knowledge of Luke Ski and Carrie Dahlby's piece, "UR". The idea came from a Skype conversation with DJ Sinstress and Breakman Z (there may have been others there). I don't remember how it started, but one of them started singing, "Spider crotch, spider crotch…" Maybe they were making a reference to "UR". I don't know. The point is, that's where it came from. "UR" is funny, by the way. You should listen to it.

The other thing pertains to the song "Coyotes Don't Disco". I'm pleased, albeit a bit mystified that this song has made the DT20. Mystified because it's not really a comedy song. But I guess if you want to follow the broader definition of "Dementia" as being something that's just outside of mainstream music, then it does make sense for it to appear on the chart. I just never expected that song to make it. Also, I'm a little hesitant to call it my first "furry" song, as there's nothing really furry about it, aside from a few lines. And the title. And all the weird animal noises. Okay, so maybe it is a furry song.

And that's all I have to say about that.

The furry part of the song makes it filk, and therefore fits in the realm of 'novelty'

Coyotes Don't Disco may not be a comedy song but the lyrics are strange enough to make it demented. I really enjoyed your cover of Departure/Ride My See Saw and it's not demented or funny.
