fiogf49gjkf0d This is fantastic!!! So glad to have the show back. Thanks Stavro!!!
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d I hope you are well Stavro! Would love to hear another show, even the holiday show you had laid out but had not recorded would be great.
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d Go for it Stavro!!!! You can do it!!!!!
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d Since the holidays have arrived, this ep. will have to wait.
Wayne just sent me the latest spreadsheet of podcastables, so with any luck, there'll be Xmas podcasts before too long.
Something larger is in the works. If we can manage it, prepare for full Mad Music Xmas Shows again. Just for the holidays. And only if we can pull off this cooperative effort.

fiogf49gjkf0d Since I'm putting an end to my show Ben's Wacky Radio at the end of the year, I can always be a substitute host for The Mad Music Hour in case nobody else is able to guest host an episode.

fiogf49gjkf0d Darn. Well, I hope you get everything you need 'cause we would love to hear a new show!!!
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d I know what you're thinking - "Bugger all! Not this again!"
Without going into the usual nasty details, it wasn't possible to assemble Halloween shows this year...not for me, anyway. Hopefully, everyone got their H'ween fix from the shows that were made. I hope you listened to the 24/7 stream as well.
Since this show is assembled already, I need only record it as mentioned before in this thread. I'm going to try again after H'ween. My copy of Audacity was screwing up last time. If I can sort that out in the coming month, I can get this one made. Then perhaps I can get in some decent Xmas shows afterwards. Maybe.

fiogf49gjkf0d So sorry you are having trouble. Looking forward to the finished product, though!

fiogf49gjkf0d I hate when that happens. It's sometimes best to take a breather and come back to it a little later.
--- Stavro Arrgolus:
Recording goes badly. The new version of Audacity is missing a vital function, so I had to do a system restore to get rid of it, then the damn thing crashed as I was finishing a segment and it was gone just like that. I save over and over but it was corrupted anyway. Useless piece of sh*t.
It's coming up on 1 am and I'm too psychotically angry to continue. I've replaced enough expensive broken things recently - car, riding mower. I don't need to add "monitor" to that list, so I'm giving up for a while as I've no desire to clean smashed electronics off the living room floor.

fiogf49gjkf0d Glad to see you back Stavro. Hopefully you can get back to the optimum level of snideness.

fiogf49gjkf0d Grumble....
The new glasses took an extra week. Some offices are more efficient than others..
Ok, now the new shows can begin in earnest. The test for it? The ability to read the words in that avatar to the left. Yup, I can see it. The playlist's complete, but the script isn't snide enough - yet. Time to get on with it.

fiogf49gjkf0d Hmm, was that an indirect 'Wild Man' Fischer reference?...
Tomorrow, I'll do the last remotely 'medically related' thing before I get on with it. I'll go down into town and pick up my new 'even stronger' glasses. Seeing the screen has become problematic of late. Not being able to see one's crappy, outdated Excel 2003 spreadsheet & the playlists I use it for makes for difficult show making. Things should just zip along after actually being able to see what I'm doing...yeah, right!
This show, like the one 2 years ago, will consist of a few older songs that were also on the tapes - as these tapes were made by taping Dr. D and transferring whatever I found amusing onto one tape. It didn't matter when the song was made. In other words, it'll be the same mess the May 2013 show was. And that's a good thing.

fiogf49gjkf0d So...
They let me out of the hospital again last Thursday and I found that after the holiday weekend, their hectic schedule of medical malarkey designed to keep my spavined ass in one piece and drain Medicare for all it's worth was complete for a time and I, at long last, had an actual shot at making these shows again.
It then occurred to me that this was the time of year that, thirty years ago in 1985, it became clear that my somewhat promising future had come to an end - hence the show title. The doctors made it just as clear that I had wasted a lot of money on college (years before - who knew I'd never get a chance to apply that degree to anything?) and I should have used the funds on a less run-down house or a better car...probably both.
But I digress again...
Two years ago, I restarted the Mad Music Show with a mixtape theme, so it seems right to do it again. This show will pick up from where the first mixtape show left off and cover the tunes on the tapes I made in the years indicated. These songs are set in stone, but requests can be made for the other potential shows on the various threads currently on the bottom of the thread list and Cthulhu knows where else.
With any luck, I can knock a few of those out before I become ill yet again.
