I wrote this a long time ago when I lived with my mother and we had a cat. One day the cat was near the bathtub and I thought: "Wouldn't it be funny to write a song about a cat taking a bath ?"?Sometimes I wonder also about this song that maybe God help me write it because around the time that I wrote it, I had ask the Lord to help me write something funny.?When I first started performing it people would stand around in crowds of 10 to 30 to here me do it. Now people still sometimes stand around but it's for Have A Peanut Butter Sandwich Or Pink Pants.?Since I wrote this song (in the Late 80's) my mother has died so in the mid 90's I moved in an apartment where I couldn't have cats. One cat died before my mother died and the other I gave to a lovely family with 2 kids that wanted another cat to help make their cat less lonely.There is more to this story but it gets complicated so I left it out but I should mention that this is the Title of my first CD which I came out with in 1991.
