It's the topical material that kills the longevity of albums like this. About half of the material holds up; the rest is rather dated. Lewis leans heavily on news and topicality, keeping albums like this from becoming one of the 'timeless classics' or whatever they're being called these days. Somehow, NyQuil never goes out of vogue. | Stavro Arrgolus |

This is the album that contains the bit that's as close to being a signature routine as anything Lewis Black has done up to this point- the whole "If it weren't for my horse.." sequence, in which Lewis goes off about something stupid he heard a girl in a mall say. It's on track 7 of this album, which is called IHOP, as it begins with a bit about the excesses of that restaurant.
He actually says, "If it weren't for my horse...," but the quote is often changed to 'wasn't' for grammatical reasons.
