Monty Python's Flying Circus Episode 34: The Cycling Tour
By: Monty Python

What a strange turn this cycling tour has taken. Mr Gulliver appears to have lost his memory and far from being interested in safer food is now convinced that he is Clodagh Rogers, the young girl singer. I am taking him for medical attention.Stavro Arrgolus

Reviews: |
It's a very good track record. Out of 45 episodes, only 2 don't seem to work at all. This is one of them. Python works best when there's no story to stick to and no central character to constantly return to. A 'stream of consciousness' that moves from one odd theme to another with no set purpose. Attempts to stray from what's Pythonesque would sometimes fall flat. I've always felt this ep. and ep. 41 'Michael Ellis' never really worked very well. | Stavro Arrgolus |

John Tomiczek, Graham Chapman's adopted son, makes a brief, non-speaking appearance as an autograph seeker. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
One of the few Python episodes containing a complete story. Most episodes had a unifying theme or running gag of some kind, but only a couple try to tie it all together using a central character. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
