Facts: |
The original release of Leavin' the Con and all its takes from High Pointe Recording company. They kept the original set of songs (via files) to keep in their catalog and made copies to those wanting to play them on air or internet radio. The copy I paid for included in the recording and pressing included all takes, master mix and the instrumental karaoke track. High Pointe was one those rent-a-studio ameture recording studios where you can sign a waiver where they maintain the pressing and issue in return for Royalities. If I wanted for full release I can pay for it and obtain all rights and release to whomever, or let High Pointe Recorders send out a sampler like this one (without the "takes") to stations and online. If ordered, the cost was covered by shipment and transfer file to hard data. When you go to a recording company they may ask you this recording for private or public release. Private, I pay for recording and copy on disc on be on my way. Public, I get the benefit of the above at my or studio cost depending how I want it set up and willing to pay for. (Halfshell) |
Original photo was taken by Viktoria Foxfang and used for permission to High Point recording to use. (Halfshell) |
*Take 6 was last complete full take. Take 7 was incomplete as a filler and ran out of recording time. Take 6 worked as the minority of the master with a few pieces from Take 4. (Halfshell) |
Cover is a mock pose of intended cover of Elvis Presley's album, "Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis Tennessee". (Halfshell) |
