The Stretchlinks are the alternative comedy music duo of Heinous Rynes and Uncle Wonkles. Forged from the midwestern wasteland of Cleveland, Ohio their first sightings were a handful of whimsical and disturbing cassette tapes released in the late 1980's. The Links' hummable ditties often mined a deeply disturbed American heartland, recounting with comic aplomb tales of tragic romance, homicidal maniacs, truck crashes, gunfights and carnival accidents. But these bleak and lilting numbers were married to another kind of Stretchlinks' offering, their absurd, and gut wrenchingly hilarious songs about Salami's, Brains, Cigar Stores, Lawnchairs and even Scrotums. Now Heinous and Wonkles have remerged from the late 20th century to annoy a new generation with The Stretchlinks Podcast where they are once again sharing their unique blend of eclectic humor, singular ukulele and guitar playing and giddy spoken word yarns.
