General I am a comic book retailer who owns and operates COMICS UNLIMITED in Evansville, Indiana. I also produce, write, and star in my own public access television program, "THE HAPPY SHOW!" The comedy-variety program airs weekly on public access in Evansville, and is also shown on public access in Huntington, West Virginia and in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, as well as being posted on YouTube. The Doctor Demento show is a HUGE inspiration to the show, and I am grateful that there is a site like The Mad Music Archive! I hope it's allowed to post my site address: www.thehappyshow.net
Music Novelty music such as "Weird Al" Yankovic, Barnes & Barnes, Tiny Tim, Spike Jones (the REAL one), Tom Lehrer, The Smothers Brothers, Stephen Lynch, and Doctor Demento's radio show, etc. PLUS Alan Williams, Moth UK, Arrow, The Beatles, Jellyfish, Radiohead, Jason Falkner, Imperial Drag, Space Hog, Presidents of The United States of America, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, The New Radicals, Nirvana, Fuzzbubble, Modest Mouse, The Mullets, Violent Femmes, Nine Inch Nails, the Beach Boys (with Brian Wilson), The Turtles, The Monkees, Buddy Holly, early Elvis (some older), The Coasters, Garbage, Tracy Bonham, The Who, Pink Floyd, Puffy Ami Yumi, T-Rex and Marc Bolan, David Bowie, The Sweet, and more.
Movies Mostly comedies and action pictures. All Marx Brothers films, even the lesser ones; Laurel & Hardy shorts and features; Buster Keaton shorts and features; Charlie Chaplin shorts and features; Our Gang (AKA, The Little Rascals) shorts; Eddie Cantor's early films; Superman: The Movie; Superman II; Batman (1989); Batman Returns; Batman Begins; Dark Knight; Spider-Man; Spider-Man II; The Incredible Hulk; Iron Man; Darkman (1st only); Robocop(1st only) ; The Crow (1st only); The Incredibles; V For Vendetta; Sin City; Ghost World; Bubble Boy; Napoleon Dynamite; Unbreakable; King Kong (nearly all versions, even the cheesy ones); Quentin Tarantino films; Robert Rodriguez films; The Matrix (1st only); Time Bandits; Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory; A Knight's Tale; Monty Python films.
Television Mostly comedy series. Some contemporary animated series's, like: "The Burns & Allen Show," "I Married Joan," "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis," "BeWitched," "I Dream of Jeannie," "Leave It To Beaver," "The Smothers Brothers Hour," "The Gong Show," "Sanford and Son," "All In The Family," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "WKRP in Cincinatti," "Saturday Night Live" (mostly from 1975-1985), "Mad TV," "In Living Color" (until the Wayans mostly left), "The Dave Chappelle Show," "3rd Rock From The Sun," "Seinfeld," "Frasier," "Cheers," "The Beverly Hillbillies," "The Brady Bunch," "The Addams Family," "The Monkees," "Monty Python's Flying Circus," "The Young Ones," "Mr. Bean," "Family Guy," "South Park," and "King of The Hill," "Batman: The Animated Series," "Superman: The Animated series," "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited," and various other classic television sitcoms. And, of course, "THE HAPPY SHOW!"
Books Mostly non-fiction. Biographies, autobiographies, technical books, reference books, and books that are about why things are the way they are. And comic books! Yayy!!!
