fiogf49gjkf0d I'm just now getting around to this issue. It's something I've always wanted to address. I've had the Robin Hood: Men in Tights DVD since April 2006 (part of the Mel Brooks boxed set) and on the disc were the usual features, scene selection, you know...
Well, for some reason the disc didn't include deleted scenes. The reason why, maybe, is because when the movie first came out LONG TIME AGO, I'm guessing like 20 years ago, the scene I remember in it can't really be considered a "deleted" scene as it was played in the original theatrical release. Just mysteriously absent on the VHS & more recently the DVD issues.
It kinda irks me because they could have included those scenes from the theatrical release in the extras on the disc...or something!
The one scene I remember was when Robin and his friends were swimming across a river whilst on their epic journey and struggling to get out onto the shore of the other side to reach a village. There was this villager just standing there staring at them and when they finally crawled up out of the water, the man said something to the effect of "We normally just use the bridge" and points at the bridge Robin and his troupe could have easily walked across.
Unless I'm thinking of another movie entirely, but I could swear it was in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. It must have been. It was a medieval theme, obviously a parody of sorts, what else but a Mel Brooks thing?
