Raymond and Scum's 2005 album "Suck" is here

Here's the story.

Some of you have been wondering why only one of the songs from the Raymond and Scum album "Suck" has charted in my era of the DT20 (the 2004-07 era).

In my opinion, more of the songs should have charted from that album, but due to the way the voting ballot was structured at the time, only one song from the album made the chart.

That is not fair.

In 2005, at the time the DT20 was heard on the now-defunct dfsxradio streaming station, the voting ballot was full of all of the newest funny songs from the past 3-6 months.

I obtained the album, I forgot whether I purchased it or the band sent it to me, but I ripped the songs from the album and placed the names of the songs that I thought my listeners would enjoy and make the DT20 chart in 2005. I would also feature the Raymond and Scum songs on my other flagship show "I Still Get Demented".

The problem was this. Another radio show I was carrying at the time insisted that the host would premiere the Raymond and Scum songs first on their show. So the reasoning was, if the songs were on the DT20 or ISGD first, another show would be airing them second. So to make the host of the other show happy, which I won't name, I deleted all but one of the Raymond and Scum songs from the DT20 ballot. I left the song "How Did I Get on This List" on the ballot. I let the host of the other show premiere the Raymond and Scum shows first on the dfsx station, although by the time he played it, Dr. Demento, Manic Mondays, and Dementia Radio already played several of the tracks from it by then.

So, as a result, if you look at the number of songs by Raymond and Scum from the album Scum that charted during the 2004-07 era, it would be just one. I thought I would remember to re-add the songs on the DT20 ballot after the other host played them, but seriously, my system didn't allow that kind of exception and the songs fell through the cracks. I simply forgot.

To Raymond and Scum, I am terribly sorry about what happened. More of your songs should have charted on the DT20 in 2005 when it was released. I made a mistake.

Here's what I am going to do.

For the next two weeks, I will play two bonus sets of songs from the Raymond and Scum album "Suck". One for the May 12 show, and one for the May 19 show. I will also tell the listeners that they can write in your songs that they like on the FT20 voting ballot (no songs are listed, so listeners can write in the title of any song they want).

To the voters, to rectify this serious error, please go to this album page, click on the songs you like from that "Suck" CD, and put them into the DT20 chart, and this time, DJ Particle is hosting the show.

"Suck" should have had more tracks placed on the DT20 chart in 2005. Let's get this made up.
