Song Lyrics: |
I saw Jesus, in a tortilla, I seen His face, smiling up at me, I saw Jesus, in a corn tortilla, It's a sign, for all the world to see.
I was standin' in the kitchen, heatin' up the fryin' pan, Toastin' a tortilla, when much to my surprise, As it roasted there emerged, the image of a man, The likeness of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
I saw Jesus, in a tortilla, I seen His face, smiling up at me, I saw Jesus, in a corn tortilla, It's a sign, for all the world to see.
It was a miracle I knew, so I ran to fetch the priest, We all hurried to my house, as quickly as we could, To find Little Pedro smiling, and smacking his lips, Daddy, that tortilla, SURE tasted good!
Nooo!!! It was Jesus, in that tortilla, I seen His face, smiling up at me, I swear! I saw Jesus, in a corn tortilla, It was a sign, for all the world to see.
So we waited and we waited, for our saviors second coming, Until late in the evening, we were getting pretty bored, When Little Pedro squatted down, over the collection plate, And pooped out a perfect statue of our Lord.
Hallelujah! It was Jesus, made of tortillas, His shining face, still smiling up at me (I told you!), It was Jesus, made of digested corn tortillas, It's a sign, that God loves you and me.
So we sold it on eBay, for a half a million dollars, To a fancy museum, for our favorite charity (ME!!!) Now sitting behind glass, is Little Pedro's poop, God's precious gift, for all the world to see, It's a miracle and now everyone believes.
That I saw Jesus, in a tortilla, I seen His face, smiling up at me. I saw Jesus, in a corn tortilla, It's a sign, that God loves you and me. God is everywhere, just look and you will see.
