Considering how much off a ripoff games & consoles are, it's quite surprising when you run into games with soundtracks like this. Sometimes when you're rolling the katamari along, you listen to these songs and think, "This was only $20? I paid 50 or 60 for that POS [insert crap game here] and it blew!" You hear this music and you feel you're getting a bit of that money back after all the heavily hyped crap games you bought.
In other news, children singing country sounding tunes in Japanese while you're sticking as many fish as possible to the giant spiked ball you're rolling (there's significance in that somewhere) is amusing. | - Stavro Arrgolus |
Facts: |
An almost country sounding tune sung by children (or seiyuus made to sound like children) that plays as background music in the first Katamari Damacy videogame (Namco, 2004).

-------------------------------------------------- [translation]
[Lalala chorus]
If the katamari comes, should we go out to the back alley, walk with it, swaying, swinging, strolling? Hey, look out your window at the airplane leaving clouds behind it That was the time when a draft blew on an Indian summer day
Exploring the town on an early afternoon I feel shy taking your hands That was the time when I felt happiness, from such a small thing
Oooo-wooh, that was a happy, peach-colored season
[Lalala chorus]
Right now, we're thinking We've grown up just a little And want to feel happiness from such small things
Oooo-wooh, it was a lively, cherry blossom-colored season
