Facts:
  • Musical clip from the 1939 Warner Brothers cartoon Harum Scarum. (Tim P. Ryan)
  • While the character on screen was Bugs Bunny, it was before both the voice and the looks of Bugs was fully defined. The Mel Blanc voice here has elements of what would be Daffy Duck and Woody Woodpecker. (Tim P. Ryan)

If that was the case, you must have a pitifully slow connection, since the two are 15-16 minutes apart and you already logged out when the second appeared.

Could have happed if I was using my browser's back buttons and actually got the thing posted again. I've done that before.

Okay Tim.... Now things are getting weird.

I was through here a couple minutes ago and there was only one copy of your message. Now I'm back and there are two copies, time stamped about 16 minutes apart.... And you weren't even logged on when the second one appeared.

I'd say this may possibly go beyond any legitimate programming. There's something fishy in..... China?

I remember Wayne telling me at some point the timeout was set for 20 minutes. There is a reputably nasty Chinese attack bot (124.115.0.100) here now, but it's been looking in for weeks. I can't find bad script anywhere. For now, I'm still inclined to believe the site upgrades are doing this until we find out otherwise.

Good evening. Tonight on 'It's the Mind', we examine the phenomenon of déjà vu. That strange feeling we sometimes get that we've lived through something before, that what is happening now has already happened. Because I only had a small collection of songs and stuff extracted from Dr. Demento shows in his first year in national syndication, I had come to believe he used a lot more of these cartoon drop-ins. Turns out this was a one-time thing for this cartoon, without many other examples/samples used on his show. I did not get to collectioning recordings of his show until 1987, while I did listen in starting in 1978, but radio stations playing him was sporatic--hit and run--maybe giving a run of a year before dropping him.
