It's time for winter to end!
I've taken walks out my front door
And listened to winter's mighty roar
For three or four or five months or more
It's time for winter to end!

I've walked around my house so much
A case of "cabin fever" I trust
Cause me to say things like, "There's a new clump of dust!"
It's time for winter to end!

We made it through another winter alive
Warm weather means I never strive
With shovel in hand to clear the drive
It's time for winter to end!

Winter's effects on the body are sometimes crude
My wife said to me, not wanting to be rude,
"Hey, you've put on a couple of extra pounds there, dude!"
It's time for winter to end!

I get up early from my bed
"I see a robin up there," I said
He went "piddle-piddle" on my head
It's time for winter to end!

With winter gone, so go the coats
And those who own expensive boats
Can sit back on their fat butts and gloat
It's time for winter to end!

My cat's afraid of the cold, the lout
He fills his sandbox with a shout
Now I can open the window and throw him out
(BOING! MEOW! CRASH!) Whoops...
It's time for winter to end!

And when the skiers have all gone home
I-93 to their Massachusetts loam
It's time for motorcycles and chrome
It's time for winter to end!

Good-bye, winter, and be gone from here!
I sit back and drink a can of beer
And wonder if I'll be in Florida next year
It's time for winter to end!

If you like winter, it's OK with me
You can always head further north, you see
When winter's gone, I feel free
