Apparently, Iggy Pop, while doing "very hard drugs" at Bowie’s LA home in 1975, hallucinated that the TV set was swallowing his girlfriend - and Bowie ran with the idea. He envisioned a holographic television, "TVC 15". In the song, the singer's girlfriend crawls into the television and afterwards, he crawls in to find her. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
