That is not an easy question to answer. Most of the time probably not, but sometimes it is part of the name of the artist. Sometimes it is a morning show with multiple people contributing to the skits.
ex. Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show
ex. The Johnny Otis Show with Marci Lee
ex. The Hillman Morning Show was the only name given for the artist of Star Trek Rhapsody. We know now that Kevin Barbare was the writer and probably the performer of the piece.
ex. The Z-100 Morning Zoo was another radio show that had different people perform different songs at multiple radio stations but they are all listed together as Z-100 Morning Zoo.
If Cd's or cassettes or records were produced then the Artist name is usually what is given as the artist on the cover or on the track listings.
It is important to try and get as much info as is available when adding new Artists.
If more info is found later we can always adjust the name or title.
I think what is most important is that people can easily find the songs by doing a search on what they remember about the song.
I know you add a lot of hard to find things, so thank you for sharing them here.

Halfshell:
So the artist shouldn't have "show" in the artist name?
---
Stavro Arrgolus:
The end of the video clearly says, "Performed by Robert Lund." Radio shows aren't artists. We have songs in the archive that were performed on radio shows, but the credit still goes only to the performer on the show.
Even the Bob & Tom radio stuff is credited as just "Bob & Tom." Any show it's on is a detail & not part of the artist name.

e8:
Change the artist to Robert Lund and The Shark Morning Show for this as well.

Stavro Arrgolus:
Fixed.
