Wouldn't it be great if everyone checked the archive for every song (it just takes seconds) AND added the mp3 to any new pages? That would help Wayne and Dave as well as me.
I do get it, though. They don't use mp3s as their show is made at an actual radio station about 30 miles from where I'm sitting. They invariably use some kind of lossless digital format.
BUT, if someone had a decent audio converter (not like the one I have) and the original version of the show, it could be converted to 128k mp3 and the individual mp3s for songs could be extracted & added to the archive. It's a pain in the ass, I know, but a visitor to the site who hears an unfamiliar song sample on a song page might want to hear the show it came from. And the link's right there on the page.
...In other words, adding the mp3 promotes their show. It's an annoyance, but how far would one go to promote a show and gain new listeners? I'm not seeing a downside here.
