The only known published review of "My Ken-L-Ration" appeared in Seattle's (now-defunct) music rag The Rocket in 1993. The writer described the song as "vaguely clever", and said the Flyin' Saucers sounded like a "weekend bar band".
The group, a weekend bar band, considered printing stickers to affix to the 45's picture sleeve with big letters trumpeting: "VAGUELY CLEVER -The Rocket". | - Bewot |

Song Lyrics: |
People always put me down, say I'm just a lazy houn'; All I do is sleep and eat, 'cause my dog food can't be beat.
My Ken-L-Ration This is my Ken-L-Ration baby.
Ain't no pup I'm almost grown, I don't wanna chew on a old soup bone. If you feed me out a can, be sure you pick my favorite brand:
My Ken-L-Ration My Ken-L-Ration baby. My-y-y Ken-L-Ration...
You can call me a stupid mutt, just as long as you feed my gut. It inspires my s-s-salivation, just talkin' about my K-K-Ken-L-Ration.
My Ken-L-Ration This is my Ken-L-Ration. My, my, my, my Ken-L-Ration, Ken-L-Ration
Talkin' about my Ken-L-Ration, This is my Ken-L-Ration (repeat)
