At school when he took Chemistry, they gave him lots of room
His professor used to holler from the boiler room below
“Okay, Roger, show me what you know”

The school was blown to kingdom come; the flames began to zoom
But down came Roger, my cousin Roger Boom
First came the steeple, then came the schoolbooks
Then came the big schoolbell

Down came the blackboards, chalk and erasers
And Roger Boom as well

Roger made a rocketship and called it Roger Boom
He planned a trip to Venus when the fungus was in bloom
When the jets began exploding and the sparks began to blow
“NOW!”, yelled Roger, “You can let me go”

The smoke began to blossom like an atom bomb in bloom
Roger rode the rocket like a witch upon a broom
Then the rocket blew to pieces
And the world was all in gloom
