Once upon a time.. there was a little boy squirrel,

Every Sunday they would gather nuts- saving for the day they'd be married.

A perfect match for Little Squirrel Girl's eyes!
Yes,and all the forest animals were there- except Little Boy Squirrel- LATE as usual!

Yes! Little Boy Squirrel.. was running late,
When he came upon an acorn so great!
he put it on his back, though twice his size- a wedding gift for his bride!

Little Boy Squirrel... was almost there,

a highway was all that stood between- himself and his bride to be!

	I have a friend who, in fact, was a Disney fanatic (nothing wrong with that!) back in the day.. so I played him this song (when I got it in '85) .. and he was literally bawling his eyes out... then he heard the end.. and got mega pissed! it was a CLASSIC moment, indeed! :)
