They can all jump in. Again, this is only voluntary. The one weekend with the Hanukkah songs last December had most of all of the funny Hanukkah songs played on at least one show between them. Some might have been missed over due to show production deadlines and late release dates.

Sounds like a cool idea if you can get the other dejays on board.

I'm thinking of this idea following an idea of a Dr. Who 50th anniversary special subject around mid November where several shows split up a pool of songs and each show plays as many as they can, say, about 30-45 minutes of songs with little or no duplication between them.

The first weekend I can think of of significant interest would be Mother's Day, which this year falls on Sunday May the 12th. I could call it the Mothers of Dementian weekend.

The participating shows would be Ben's Wacky Radio, A-Log of the Airwaves, Mad Music Top 20 Revenge, I Still Get Demented (my show), Kahnman's Comedy Corner, Mad Music Show/Hour/Podcast/etc, and Manic Mondays. KCC, MMP, and MM are podcast shows.

The podcast shows would get first dibs on the pool of songs, taking the songs safe for podcasters to play (with full credit for websites given when they play them).

The rest of the shows would divide up the list and each would pick about 45 minutes of material.

The deadlines for each of the shows vary. My show ISGD has a strict deadline of Friday, May the 3rd, for the show dated Saturday, May the 11th.

What do you think of this idea?
