It's ok to use a non-comedy song in a show & not add it to the archive; I've done it to cover a certain theme. Then there are all the non-comedy songs used as bgm for shows or songs that fill out an artist's page that would otherwise be incomplete without them (Beatles songs are a good example).

Just use your best judgment for these things. In this case, you were right in thinking that's not a comedy song to add. The 60s were full of songs regarding other artists or even themselves (I was there).

When they do it today, it's always with malicious intent. And even less amusing.

I'm working on some last minute ideas for my final two shows. I heard "Creeque Alley" by The Mamas And The Papas play on my local oldies radio station the other day and it sounded like it had humorous lyrics including the mockery of Mama Cass' weight (don't worry, she loved the lyric that she laughed). So the question is, is this song useful to me added to this website or just not add a file of said song?
