The words to "Santa's Monster Bash" were written by Rick Ryan originally intended to be published as a somewhat wild and wacky children's Christmas picture book. Not long later, his co-writer on dozens of songs in the past, Frank Garcia, put music to the lyrics and did the production on the song that you hear. Eventually, Ryan still wants to find the right graphic artist to assist him in creating a "Santa's Monster Bash" children's picture book (of course, including the song in the package as well).
Ryan has been an accomplished lyricist for many years, having the good fortune of collaborating with a number of incredibly gifted composers. He co-wrote the song "Shadowland" with Graham Nash and Joe Vitale that appeared on Crosby Stills Nash and Young's first reunion album, "American Dream" that was certified Platinum in 1989. He also wrote all of the English lyrics for the internationally acclaimed Salsa/Rock Latin band L.A. Carpool that has released four CD's (many songs from which available on CD Baby), Frank Garcia, who wrote the music to "Santa's Monster Bash", was also Ryan's musical co-writer on each of the four L.A. Carpool projects. All four CD's were produced by Garcia along with L.A. Carpool's creator, Jack Gold. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
