fiogf49gjkf0d I am Darlin AKA Sic Sal Skanky Bitch I have been creating some of the funniest, crudest, and most outrageous song parodies for about 10 years. Until recently I was ahappy letting them play in my head and to friends. How does one get it OUT THERE without being taken, ripped off, or in possession of the thing called money? Hit me back and i can show ya a sample(first act of being ripped LOL)

fiogf49gjkf0d My experience has been that if you don't get your songs out there for people to listen to, you have no way of proving you made the song in the first place. One of the good (and bad) things about the internet is, once it's been uploaded, it stays. It doesn't matter what you do. It will be on the net as long there is a net. So, think about using FuMP as it will expose your stuff to a HUGE audience. Many who are in a position to be of help if they like your stuff. After all, if you upload it today and a week later someone (steals it and) comes out with it on a record, you can sue them up one side and down the other.

fiogf49gjkf0d I think you should also consider a myspace.com page or a soundclick.com page where people can stream your songs ?
Or maybe put it out on CD at cdbaby.com ?

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi "Darlin AKA Sic Sal Skanky Bitch".... Welcome.
Best thing you can do is jump right in and get your feet wet. You'll quickly learn that Captain Wayne works hard to make this a website that benefits both the fans and the artists.
A good start is to submit a song to the next song contest.... or perhaps upload an MP3 to the "files" folder on your Madspace page. Then there's The FuMP.... (www.thefump.com). The FuMP Sideshow is a great resource, which I plan on taking advantage of some day.
As for fears of your song being "taken" or "ripped off", those sound like copyright issues, which could probably fill an entire forum topic.
I look forward to hearing your work.
