fiogf49gjkf0d Hi everyone! I have been telling my grandchildren about the children's records we had when I was little and how they told stories through songs. My sister and I would listen to these for hours. I had some favorites and kept the records in a safe container. I left them with my parents because my new husband (at the time) was just entering the Air Force and we were going to be gone for several years. Unfortunately, my little brothers found the case and took b-b-guns to the records. I'm now at the age where I can't remember all the lyrics to the songs I loved so much. So, if any of you find the lyrics to "Little Goldie Goldfish" by Bobby Dixon and Johnny Swift (1953) Peter Pan Records, please let me know.
I love and listen to music from the 1940's to current year. The only exception is the twiney heavy metal as it hurts my ears. My husband bought me a MP3 player, but unfortunately, I don't know how to use it (or load music on it). I wanted the MP3 player so I could load my Tap, Ballet and Jazz music on so I could practice my dances without disturbing him. I also thought it would be nice to listen to music while I walk or ride the bike. One of these day's I'll figure it out.
This is the first time I ever did a "blog", so I'm not sure what to write or say. Guess I didn't do such a good job with "keeping up with the times".
Take care all and have a great day!

fiogf49gjkf0d I remember Pinnochio (a Peter Pan Record) when I was 4. It was a story that had some songs in it. One of them had these lyrics:
"Pinnoch, Pinnoch, Pinnocho
We'll find ya if we have to go to Tokyo
Come out, Come out Wherever you are
Pinnoch, Pinnoch, Pinnocho"

fiogf49gjkf0d We had a collection of childrens' records when I was a kid, but they have long ago gone the way of the dodo. Fortunately, I was able to pick up quite a few as I searched through yard sales and flea markets over the years. I have them all stacked up now, ready to be converted to MP3, as I work through my collection.

fiogf49gjkf0d One I would like to find is songs/records featuring Mr. I. Magination. I think I wore those 78s out. Not sure what happened to them. Maybe I outgrew them and the parents passed them to one of the cousins. But it would be interesting for hear those again.

fiogf49gjkf0d Here's what one lyric site posts for this song:
One day while walking down the street I passed a goldfish store And looking in the window, was a boy you would adore His eyes were on a goldfish who kept looking at the boy When suddenly that little fellow, shouted out with joy Little Goldie Goldfish - come out and play with me (he uses some artistic liscensing here.....) Little Goldie Goldfish - I'm lonesome as can be Gee - I wish I was a fish, so I could swim like you We'd catch a whale, by the tail, and sail the ocean blue That would be delicious, we'd frolic with our fins All the other goldfish, would think that we were twins (we'd build a home of seaweed, in the bottom of the sea) forgot that line Little Goldie Goldfish, Little Goldfish (more artistic liscensing......) Come out and play with me
Welcome aboard. Hope you find some old and some new music to enjoy around here.
