	OK... hear me out. Dr. D had a tradition of playing non-demented songs and tracks on his show. Hell, he's played "Touch A Name On The Wall" by Joel Mabus and "Camouflage" by Stan Ridgway on his shows hundres of times and they're both non-demented or non-funny. Perhaps he found something charming about Basil Rathbone's retelling of The Night Before Christmas and decided to play it on his show traditionally just not annually. Hell, some of us even played non-humorous songs on our respectable podcasts. Not everything has to be funny 100%. Dr. D and us just like to give something regular we find enjoyable a chance to be played. --- MusicalComedyVault: Can someone explain to me why this was played on so many shows? Sure, this is a holiday staple, and the poem is used pretty much everywhere, but why did The Dr. spin this so many times. Personally, I don't find this poem funny unlike other big holiday hits on his show.
