"A Bomb For Hussein" by Barnes and Barnes
In the first part of the story, Iraq attacked Kuwait; Saddam stormed in and kicked their butt, thought no one would retaliate. The first thing he did was to claim Kuwait; it now belonged to him. There was lots of news of Kuwaiti blues and their chances looked real slim.
I flew through the desert with a bomb for Hussein and I hope that it lands on his brain. In Iraq they won't cop to the blame and they sure don't play by the rules of the game.
After two weeks in the desert sun, George Bush began to turn red. After three weeks of Iraqi fun there were lots of Kuwaitis dead. And the United Nations' sanctions tried to stop some more bloodshed.
So I flew through the desert with a bomb for Hussein and I hope that it lands on his brain. In Iraq they won't cop to the blame and they sure don't play by the rules of the game.
After four months he set the hostages free, which didn't make sense to me. There was Desert Shield, U.S. power to wield, and tons of artillery. And Saddam was warned, but the Desert Storm turned to bombing in the night. He fired SCUDs, but most were duds, on the Saudis and Israelites.
He dumped thriteen million barrels of oil burning in the sea. There were plants and birds and rocks and things that now no longer be. The earth is a planet that's falling apart and needs help from above. A Patriot may stop a SCUD, but the humans will give no love.
I flew through the desert with a bomb for Hussein and I hope that it lands on his brain. In Iraq they won't cop to the blame and they sure don't play by the rules of the game.
Well, it ain't perfect, but it's a start. Help with corrections. (Tim P. Ryan) |
