Thanks Kahnman and Thanks Stavro for clarifying the need to post even backward songs.

I see your point now that you explained it.

Sort of...

It all happened here - www.madmusic.com/song_details.aspx?SongID=59171

A workaround was sorted out, but Wayne still has to fix this mess. He'll deal with it when he can - much in the way I make shows when I feel up to it.

Ultimate lesson: One has to be really careful with those long numbers when merging pages or things like that happen. In 10 years, I've yet to screw one up, but that's only because I get paranoid about it & check the numbers 4 or 5 times before merging anything. Considering all this, that may not be such a bad thing.

"Paranoia is just a kind of awareness, and awareness is just a form of love." - Charles Manson

Probably. But under the new upgrade rules, everything has to have a song page. This is the part I oppose, since there can't be a credit for the segment titles of my show. Don't need that 'Funky Butts' thing happening again.

Also, Murphy's Law says that someone will notice it's backwards and ask why it doesn't have a page like the example I pointed out. I'm just heading off future aggravation with this. The 'backwards' thing was and remains a gimmick - and a not super amusing one at that. That's presumably why it's not done often.

..And doubling your tracklistings would be pointless as Weird Al still has everyone beat by miles. It's far & away the largest artist page on the site.

wouldn't this case be the DJ making the backwards play and not an actual release though?

Would be like taking all my stuff reverse it and re-upload and doubling my tracklistings...

Can't. There's precedent. If I change this, I also have to change this one - www.madmusic.com/song_details.aspx?SongID=1668 . That one's that whole "gotta fill the B-side of the 45 with something" thing going on. But it was the original artist messing with his own classic dementia tune...so it needs to remain as is.

Halfshell:

I would combine them. It's basically the same song just played differently.

Was it really necessary to create another song page for www.madmusic.com/song_details.aspx?SongID=59675 just because you played it backwards on your show?
