fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d OK ... here's a weird one for all of you. I got quite a few chuckles from this. (Of course, I do have a warped sense of humor.) Here's "Bohemian Rhapsody" at 78 RPM:
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d that was very weird. But I know where Madonna got her idea for her Cone bra. Terri M.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d I never did uninstall 3 and reinstall 2.xx.... but today I got an update notice for DownloadHelper, and since installing it the TouTube embedded links once again work. That may have been where the problem was.
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d I discovered this website (www.bluegobo.com) that has videos from broadway musicals. Here's a clip from Young Frankenstein.... as seen on Letterman.
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Ah yes, the embedded videos on this page now work again!
I had to go back to Firefox 2.0.0.16 from that dreaded 3.0.1!

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Gee, how cruel, that's 96% of the way, err, weight to being a leadfoot
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Tomorrow, I'll be attending a concert featuring Tanglefoot, which is probably one of the best Canadian folk groups out there. Their song "Traighli Bay" is probably the best pirate song ever written. (IMHO)
Here it is..... To get you ready for Talk Like A Pirate Day.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d So, (un)Planned Parenthood decided to hip their image up and created this "Take Care Down There" campaign. There are some pretty funny videos with a creepy mustache, sweater wearing guy. There's also this song.
You can see more on youtube or www.takecaredownthere.org

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Thanks for the link. All my Maximum PC disks are packed up for my move and they are what I would have needed to find an older copy of Firefox.
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d One big issue I see in Firefox 3, when I close the browser down, the application remains as an active process, so I cannot restart the browser again, plus it eats up nearly 100% of the CPU!
I also need to uninstall Firefox 3 and go back to Firefox 2.
Here is the link to the last versions of Firefox 2 - www.oldapps.com/firefox.htm
|
|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Firefox 3 has other issues that go way beyond playing YouTube videos.
I've been trying out the games at YoYoGames.com for the past little while, and their plugin was not compatible with Firefox 3. They came up with a fix, but that didn't survive the upgrade to Firefox 3.0.1.
I have other issues with Firefox 3 as well..... I think the way it handles bookmarks now is a definite step backwards.
I think I'll uninstall it and try to find a copy of the last version 2 release.
I believe they took lessons from Windows Vista and released the thing before the bugs were worked out.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d here's one for the folks about to brave the wrath of gustav, and also in honor of jerry lewis' annual MDA telethon.....

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d It worked!!
On this web page (the 2nd link in my message below):
www.download.com/8301-2007_4-9978341-12.html?tag=mncol;txt
are links to download a program called Revo Uninstaller and to download the Flash Player 10 beta plug-in installer. Per the suggestion on this page, I uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player plug-in using the Revo Uninstaller, then I installed the Flash Player 10 beta plug-in. Then I came back to this page, and the YouTube videos played OK using Mozilla FireFox.

|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Here's a few interesting links regarding the Firefox problem:
news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10027752-2.html?tag=nl.e776
www.download.com/8301-2007_4-9978341-12.html?tag=mncol;txt
I might try the fix mentioned in the second link. If it works, I'll post a message here with the info.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Though FF is infinitely safer than IE, there are sites- including this one- that were made with IE in mind and not FF or Opera or whatever and get a bit screwy occasionally when using them. The first few months of this newer version of the site were full of fixing non-FF compatible screwiness. I don't know if the browser's the reason for this one and I sure as hell don't know how it all works, but could it be the problem? Mmmm.....could be. Another thing Wayne may have to look at when he gets back.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d knowtalentagency-- > For some reason, I've had problems viewing videos on this page ever since Sick Puppy posted the Obama video on 8/27. (I'm not blaming you, Sick Puppy .... that's just when I first had the problem.) But since then, when I click on the play button on any video on this page (including my "Kaizen Blitz" video), the video starts loading but it doesn't play. However, this only happens in Mozilla Firefox. It seems to work OK in Internet Explorer.
the same thing happened to me too.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Well, I've done something I have never done before. I've created a video of one my crazy songs! It's a video of "Kaizen Blitz", my parody of "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet. It pokes fun at corporate America. Let me know what you think!!

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d This video appeared tonight on the Glenn Beck Show. I get the distinct impression that Mr. Beck isn't a huge fan of Obama.
Oh yeah.... The tune is the national anthem of the former Soviet Union.
it's got a nice beat, but you cant dance to it.
i give it a 4

OBAMA ANTHEM LYRICS
All hail the messiah
Obama, Obama
The path to the new socialist motherland
Our savior, our savior
Obama, Obama
The leader more famous than Lindsay Lohan
Bow down and praise the one
Give him your money and your guns
Give us a country
That makes your wife proud
Lord Barry heal the bitter ones
White and Clinging to faith and to guns
Hope for the change of the hope of the change!

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d a picture fell off the wall, a hanging marionette swayed, a stack of video tapes toppled over, water sloshed out of my cats drinking bowl, and my cats ran for cover.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Well, here is a strange find while following up that last one.
The Gong Show "The Sissy Boys"
Dino "Danger" Perelli and Chris Hooks perform as "The Sissy Boys" on the [New] Gong Show in it's last year of syndication (1989)

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Alice Cooper did his show in the third season. After a couple of years of The Muppet Show producers having a hard time getting stars to be on the show, suddenly, when they were cool, seen as appealing to both kids and adults, stars were starting to come to them. Even before Alice had his national exposure in the early 70's, his live shows were much more visual and dramtic than other rock acts. So, he and his monsters were probably a good match for them.

|
fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Tim P. Ryan Because it was there? You prefer maybe Helen Redy?
no, it's just that I didn't think Alice Cooper and the Muppets went together well.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d interesting summer videos. One question, why did Alice Cooper do the Muppet Show?
