This is for a much different show and that is regarding this Friday's show which I hope will not be delayed, it's just that my new wifi at my new place has been giving me some problems since day one when it comes to uploading shows. Fortunately there were times I got the show uploaded without a problem, but lately it's been getting out of hand including today where three times I upload, and either it's my wifi or Safari refusing to process claiming it ran into a problem. Often times I wonder if I have to upload shows at a certain time because it seems to have no problems in the morning hours, but later hours it won't work. So for now, I'll try again tomorrow to get my next show posted and scheduled to go live on Friday. If it works, then I'll be happy. But it I have more problems, I'll try my best to find another way to get the show posted. I just want to give everyone a heads up.

Just edit your current show playlist. Add a new folder - upload your new show mp3 then exit. You can come back later and start a new show just like you usually do. Just use the file in the folder that you already uploaded - add your playlist and save.

Just one question, and I'm sure this was already explained to me. This has nothing to do with any errors, but if I were to go ahead an upload the mp3 for my next show, I can just come back any time later to fill in the playlist, right?

Luckily, I did record that error in the database. It appears that the Release Date was invalid so it couldn't save (probably a typo). I made a change to the dj_enter_show_info page to validate the Release Date and let you know if it's not valid. That way you can fix it before it goes too far. Thanks!!!

I entered the playlist as usual. After checking to make sure everything was good, I pressed the post playlist button and thats when it glitched. It did not continue on to the show page. It just stopped. I had to start over.

Captain Wayne:

Can you describe where is stopped working, or stalled? I want to get it working 100%, but I'm not sure where the issue is. I added 8 new Dr. Demento shows with no problems, so I'm stumped.

Dave AuJus:

It did the same to me when I tried posting my new show today. I had to start over, but then it worked.

---
Wacky Ben:

Now I'm having another problem. My next show I posted early refuses to save.

Got it up now. Thanks.

Captain Wayne:

I just found a bug that would cause that to happen. It should be fixed now.

I just went into a show I recently posted and was able to make a change and save.

When I click "Done, Save to Database," instead of taking me to the playlist, it just refreshes back to the set up as if I "forgot" to add how many files when I specifically listed "1". I don't know if it was because when I did the parse playlist, the copy and paste messed up with one of the songs that I had to quickly fix.

Captain Wayne:

I see the MP3 in your folder so that made it up to the server.

Can you explain what 'refuses to save' means? Like, you enter the playlist and hit "Done, Save to Database" and it just flashes and stays on the screen?

Email me the playlist and header stuff and I'll fix the problem and get the show posted in the process.

I'll be reworking the show posting pages over the next week as well. I want to make it a little clearer and DJ-Friendly (like making playlist entry a LOT easier).

Excellent! Sorry for the trouble, it's a hidden setting in Microsoft IIS (web server software) that I never knew existed.

Wacky Ben:

Got one so far. I just need to get my recent show for Friday the 21st uploaded and I'm set.

I have the server set to allow individual MP3 files up to 650Mb each. How big are your files?

Tomorrow's episode of Wacky Ben's Laff Attack will be delayed due to yet another upload error. This time, I can't even get the file to upload because I get an error claiming my file is too long. The same files I've been uploading for I'd guesstimate a month and a half where hours 1 and 2 are combined into one file instead of separate. I'm not sure if it's the new upgrade that Wayne made with the site that's causing this, but all I know is that until I can get this thing fixed, I won't be able to post a new show until then. For now, you'll have to stick with archive.org and Mixcloud. The latter doesn't include the playlist due to limited characters.
