I can't help but be pickled tink to see MY NAME amongst some of the most popular (and famous) musical performers! All because of my rather silly Zombie novelty song 'I'll Eat Yer Brain'! And on the list is Butch Patrick who played Eddie Munster... eventually. BUT, the historic TRUTH is that I was to be Eddie Munster! Had the part sewed up with a great audition for both casting directors and the show's producer and was told the part was mine. And then I STOOD UP! My mom was there too. I am sure neither of us will ever forget the looks on the faces of the producer and staff when they realized I was already too tall to accommodate their plan to have the Eddie character be able to get into drawers and cupboard spaces, etcetera. I was heartbroken and they were clearly sorry for causing the emotional let down for me as well as disappointed to have lost me (or to have to go back to auditioning another hundred kids). True story folks!
