fiogf49gjkf0d Linda George has sang live onstage for the San Francisco Band, "Brain Damage", double billed with "The Butthole Surfers" in l985...She wrote 3 songs for Brain Damage that got college recognition and voted hers the best songs on the album sold to Rough Trade Records...Airplay was on San Francisco's college radio station, her interest was in theatrics/films, not Punk Music, although she loves to sing, mostly Gwen Stefani style...She went out with Nick Graham of "Joe Boxer" underwear, they use to cut material for ties together, then he went onto selling boxer shorts for I.Magnin, and Macy's, etc. Nick Graham sang for "Screen of Dreams" when they met, prior to selling his known brand of boxer shorts. He sounded like David Bowie, made a video in Australia, then gave it up to focus on Boxer shorts, which he sold at least 2 million worth. Linda has quite a sense of humour growing up around a Dad who gave Don Rickles one liners when he showcased his talents at "The Boulevard" in queens, NY. Linda grew up around a comical family, so it was natural for her to hear parody's to music, so hence she wrote "Maternity Ward" to Madonna's Material World...Scottie Brothers offered her a $50,000 to create an albums worth of parodies, but she didn't want to become a female Al Yankovich. She only wanted to do a single but the writer to Madonna's Material World was not Madonna, the original writer didn't OK a parody to his song...So then Scottie Brothers convinced Al Yankovich to come up with a Madonna parody, hence "Like a surgeon" came out after Linda's airplay on Dr. Demento...She enjoyed Scottie Bros. as a label, she got on well with them being they were New Yorkers themselves but Julie Tenuda wasn't the direction she saw herself in...She is a make-up artist/hairstylist for films now...
