| "Dropkick Me Jesus" is a classic. It is one of two Xmas oriented songs I will allow to be played in my home. The other is The Resident's "Bozo the Clown Who Loved Xmas".
In one of the short-lived bands I played in it was introduced as "everybody's favorite song." And even teen-agers would get up and dance. At our last gig, a fund raiser for a day care center, a mother asked for the lyrics for her priest.
A friend once met the writer in a bar in Gainesville, FL. He was told it was to help explain one religion to the followers of another. He didn't specify which ones. | - 6 |
