The Mad Music Podcast #19, September 27, 2012
Topic: It's Up Uranus
All About The ...Backside Of Things.
I know it's badly mixed and my voice sounds like a cat snagging brushed nylon, but bear with it a bit until I've gotten more practice in.

Next week: Wreck The Malls [Dec 1, 2012] (Dave AuJus guest hosts)
Show Facts: |
First show since April. Hosted (badly) by Stavro Arrgolus. Well, if you had your big, cancerous thyroid excised from your neck, your voice should sound as good. And the tinnitus doesn't help. Because of the constant noise in my head, I have to speak clearly and sharply or all I hear is the sound of Charlie Brown adults (waa-waa-WAA-waa). Talking like that makes everyone think you're just a sarcastic smartass... (Stavro Arrgolus) |

fiogf49gjkf0d Next time: fish. Awful lot of songs about our finny friends. Some of them are even CC. This kind of show writes itself. Just as well if full 2 hr Halloween shows are to be made soon.

|
fiogf49gjkf0d I thought that it was a really good show.

|
fiogf49gjkf0d Thanks. Glad it went over so well. I'll try to get the mix levels more even next time before I have a go at the holiday shows. No CC constraints - they ought to be good.
Hope Wayne makes a couple of them. Lighten the load.

fiogf49gjkf0d and it went where ever i did go

fiogf49gjkf0d When I did the "update podcast" thing on iTunes, this episode didn't show up. Is this still going to be accessible through iTunes?
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d When I tried to use the 'manage podcasts' admin function, I found them all disabled - presumably because they weren't being made all summer. I mentioned this and other podcast related things to Wayne and got no response. He's been quite busy.
There's nothing especially profane about MMP-19, so when he gets around to it, he'll activate the function again and you'll be able to download it. I hope.

fiogf49gjkf0d (I tried to reply to your post but got an error)
Yes I was surprised at the great song choices. It could have gotten really nasty, but I thought that you struck a nice balance. I'm not really big on bathroom humor anyway but some other people around here like it more.

fiogf49gjkf0d I've been programming shows for a couple of years. I learned that when working with themes, stretch the theme as far as it will go by adding a variety of styles. The stranger the better. This worked for Wayne's shows and hopefully, it can work for mine.

fiogf49gjkf0d Good show Stavro. Like the pirate voice, but I bet it's hard to maintain that for any length of time - so don't blow the vocal cords trying to do it all the time (like you mentioned). Can't think of anyone better suited (other than the Capt'n himself) to drag the MMS back to life.
Looking forward to many more!!
I think having more frequent shows (podcast or regular MMS) will bring in and keep the membership, whether you or the Capt'n put them out.
Thanks!

fiogf49gjkf0d Good job Stavro.

|
fiogf49gjkf0d Love it! Thanks for bringing the MMPC back. Looking forward to the MMS.

|
fiogf49gjkf0d Thanks all. Glad you liked the show. It can only improve now that I've some idea of what I'm doing. Unless Wayne steps in to make them, this podcast will be put on hold until November so I can make the 3 Halloween MMS episodes.
This week: compile songs, show ideas & sfx, then make scripts.
Next week: make a show.
Then another, then one more.

fiogf49gjkf0d You rock! You are seriously underpaid. Thank you.
