My Winamp get 'bad request' errors when trying to play any segment.

It's ok when using the site's player, though. This is a great show.

It reminds me of all the good tunes we had at the end of the pop music era before the greedy music industry wanted $18 for discs that cost a buck to make and compartmentalized everything into strict categories and them marketed to just those, effectively eliminating the so-called pop music that we all knew. Then rap and hair metal finished off what was left.

    ...digressing again. Still, excellent show.

This goes back to a time when musicians and independent radio stations used their own minds to create a landscape of different sounding songs and playlists across the nation. I thought Lisa Whelchel sounded like Cyndi Lauper. I didn't know that record existed. Thanks for destroying Scorpions. Our local stations keep playing that and I turn the station off when they come on. This playlist is like a cross between the old 91X and MTV when it once played music. Look forward to another hour next month. Happy birthday Dave.

Oh, yes.. almost forgot. Last word on this.

Kudos to David & Emi for helping me with the effort to keep the 'mad' in the MMA. Both have made a conscious effort not to make new pages for non-demented songs played on their shows- examples of this can be seen in the playlist above & on the ROTP playlists.

"Mundane" songs are still heard and accounted for on the lists so there's documentation of their play on the shows if one wants to find it, but they're not clogging up the works with lots of song pages containing an accounting of songs that, IMO, belong in some other archive.

This saves me a good deal of needless effort in looking after info that you've likely seen on sites dedicated to just that. The effort isn't just in finding info for a page and filling it out, but it's also in determining its album (if any), finding that, adding it, seeing if any of the album's other songs qualify as belonging here, making pages for them and... well, you get the idea.

So I wanted to write it down somewhere that the effort made is greatly appreciated by the maniac who looks after things hereabouts.

Wonder if mundanemusicarchive.com is available? Nah. Don't care.

    Song Fact:

TVOD was actually the flip-side of the 45 RPM single of Warm Leatherette.
