Show Facts:
This week is a mix of comedy and odd alternative tunes from the 80s, 70s, and 90s. "Dick's Automotive" inspired "Weird Al" Yankovic's song "Albuquerque." For the Mars mission, we played David Bowie's song. "Mickey" hit #1 on the weekly Billboard chart in 1982, Dr. Demento played it on his show, as well as "Pass the Dutchie". And for unpredictability, I threw in a Bee Gees song that Beavis and Butthead thought was cool, as well as segueing from a hard punk Suicidal Tendencies song into a new romantic Spandau Ballet song. During set 1, we play an in-house ad for my album "Originals (2000-2012)", an ad you can download at my website Other radio stations may air it; runs 60 seconds, an industry radio ad length standard. (davidtanny)
In set four, I played "One Step Beyond" and after that set, I ran the "A-Log" ad featuring a parody of the song. (davidtanny)
In the Spandau Ballet song, "True", you heard some lines that sound like "Huh huh huh hu-uh huh." Does it remind you of a Woody Woodpecker laugh, only slower? (davidtanny)

I'll post the complete top 20 that isn't announced on my live journal page this weekend. is the location.

Due to a playlist error, not announced is the song that came after "Life on Mars", "Johnny Are You Queer?" by Josie Cotton.

Was your decision to play "Cars" and "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" back to back influenced by Ivor Biggun?

Now that you mention it, it does sound like it.

Somebody's gonna get the notion to play all the songs parodied in 'Bras on 45' all the way through on a show at some point.
