| For those playing the home game, you'll already have noticed that the whole show is a big experiment to determine if the NSA is actually spying on us. Each segment is loaded with buzzwords that get their attention and then followed by subtle disclaimer phrases that erase any insinuations the buzzwords had made. Just to screw with their heads. | It was easy enough to choose a Shirley Temple tune and Devo songs for Bob Casale, but I had to reach a bit for a song for Harold Ramis...he directed National Lampoon's Vacation, so I played its closing theme - the Lindsey Buckingham song, which just sounded right. | Looking around the net now, I'm reminded of something I'd long forgotten... Bill Hicks died 20 years ago today. (2/26/1994) I'd like to have remembered that earlier - like when I was actually making the show. The episode was very late and I was too busy trying to finish it to remember.
