There is a very simple method to format your lyrics that are submitted to The FuMP.

Simply format them as you want them to be viewed.

Then, at the beginning put in <pre> and at the end put in </pre>.

I wish The FuMP would suggest that for beginners. Makes reading lyrics much easier.

They allow all HTML tags in the lyrics section. I have slipped pictures into the lyrics, when it helped to clarify them.

Yeah the pre is an awesome tag, I use it on badave on all the lyric pages (it makes it to where people don't have to use the br tag in their submission) I hadn't thought to use that there, I just kind of assumed they wouldn't have the tag set up, thanks for letting me know they do.

pre basically is an html set up so that you could have 'text sections' on an html, php or other script document that ignored regular html coding. It is particularly useful for posting lyrics since normally, in html or other scripting, a line break (going to the next line) is treated as a space. By using pre you avoid having to type in br at the end of every line.

of course now if the Fump puts in the pre tag, we'll have an issue because those of us who used br will be double spaced on our lyrics.

I had to edit my post real quick, apparently the pre tag works here to (scratches head)
